Home visits are specifically intended for those patients who are too ill to physically get to the surgery premises for an appointment with their GP.

A request for a home visit should be called in to our reception desk before 11:00 am.

A GP will always phone back to determine the most appropriate care option, which may include the home visit, a prescription, a visit by the district nursing team, or referral to A&E.

The time taken for our Doctors to make home visits is significant and can impact on appointment availability to other patients. We would appreciate your understanding that home visits are reserved for housebound and chronically ill patients, and for cases of medical emergency.
