What types of preventive care do you offer?

Abbey Family Practice offers a variety of preventive care services, including vaccinations, health screenings, and lifestyle support.

Can I access the building if I have mobility problems?

Located within Bangor Health Centre, on the Newtownards Road, Bangor, our building offers ease of access for disabled persons and those with mobility problems.

All our services are based on the ground floor and our surgeries and treatment room have wheelchair access.

GP Out-Of-Hours service

GP “Out-of-hours” cover is provided for:

Weekday evenings after 6.00pm through to 8.30am;
Weekends and Bank/Public holidays.

This service is based at Ards Community Hospital, Church Street, Newtownards, Co. Down, BT23 4AS.

The GP out-of-hours service is for urgent care where patients cannot wait until their usual practice is open. All patients should access the service by phone.

Patients are only seen by appointment – this is not a walk-in service. Note that GP Out-of-Hours do not insert or remove stitches, and cannot do blood tests or x-rays.
