How Can We Help?
< Back to Help Desk
You are here:

Abbey Family Practice does not operate a travel clinic but we are happy to provide advice and immunisation for NHS vaccines necessary for travel. For advice on obtaining NHS vaccines ONLY, you may make a routine appointment with the Practice Nurse, bringing with you details of your travel plans

Many destinations require additional vaccinations and / or antimalarials, which are not available on the NHS but these can be obtained from a local travel clinic. There may be charges for some of the vaccines you need as the number of travel vaccines  available on the NHS is limited.  Private prescription fees apply for non-NHS travel vaccines and malaria tablets

Please read our travel advice leaflet AFP TRAVEL ADVICE.

Private travel clinics such as Bangor Travel Clinic  on 028 91 455000 or Kerrsland Travel Clinic on 028 9065 7138 will also provide general health advice for the destinations you are visiting.
