When a doctor arranges a blood test, x-ray or other investigation, they will advise you when to contact the surgery for the result.

Please phone after 11:00 am for results as the phone lines can be very busy early in the morning.

In order to safeguard patient confidentiality, test results will only be given to the patient and cannot be given to a family member unless written consent has been provided to the practice. Please down load a copy of this consent form CONSENT TO ACT ON BEHALF OF PATIENT and bring to reception.

Parents of minors, i.e. under the age of 16 can request their results. When a patient turns 16 years of age we will ask their consent for their parent/guardian to contact regarding their test results.

All results are checked and verified by the doctors.

Due to the volume of test results the doctors and admin staff cannot phone every patient with their results.  *Patients are asked to take responsibility to contact the surgery to learn the results of their tests*.

It is Practice policy if any abnormal results require urgent action you will be contacted by a GP.
