Bangor Community Hospital (028) 9147 5120 Minor Injuries Unit provides a 9am to 5pm, weekday service and is staffed by specially trained and experienced Emergency Medicine nurses.
If you are unsure if your injury/condition is suitable for treatment in the unit staff are happy to provide advice over the telephone.
Ards Minor Injuries Unit (028) 9151 0110 is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm with x-ray service as usual (except Christmas Day).
About the Units
If your injury is not serious, you should attend the MIU. You could be seen more quickly than in a busy Emergency Department and it allows their highly trained staff to concentrate on people with serious and life-threatening conditions.

Staff may be able to treat:
- sprains and strains
- broken bones in the arm, foot or ankle
- wound infections
- minor burns and scalds
- minor head injuries
- insect and animal bites
- minor eye injuries
- injuries to the back, shoulder and chest
